You do not need to know anything about Woodworking just have an interest. You do not need to have your own shop to join either.
Have you ever thought about designing your own Wall Unit or Desk to suit your needs instead of buying the best of several designs that you can tolerate? Wouldnt you like to put that money into materials and build something better? Something like a Wall Unit can be built with some simple and inexpensive tools if you know what you are doing. You can also buy hot swingers looking friendship a foreign affair Desk Drawers if you do not want to get into dovetailing and build the rest of the desk.
A desk design would never suit my needs as I dont like to have just 3 drawers with a big deep drawer on the bottom where you get stabbed by something while rummaging through cell phone chargers from a Motorola Flip Phone and camera chargers from a decade old 2 megapixel camera. I like a bunch of drawers and a desktop that isnt so big that I can loose my notebook PC.
You should feel the same.
Also if you are thinking about building a home woodworking shop our more experienced members will have some valuable advice for you.
Im a degreed professional with another career but woodworking is a serious lifelong hobby. Some of out members are professional woodworkers.
